👉. It is located on the border of Mannarkkad

 Taluk of Palakkad district, Nilambor Taluk of

 Malappuram district, Kerala, and Nilgiris

 District of Tamil Nadu.

👉 This National park has some rare species

 of flora and fauna.   This area was explored

In 1847 the botanist Robert Wight.

👉It is located in the rich bio-diversity of

 Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

👉Mukurthi Peak, the fifth-highest peak in

 South India and Anginda Peak are also

 located in its vicinity .

👉 Bhavani River , a Tributary of Kaveri

 River , and Kunthipuzha River , a Tributary

 of Bharathappuzha river , originate in the

 vicinity of Silent Valley.

👉The Kadalundi River has also its origin in

In Silent Valley.

👉It has a core area of 89.52 s q. Km which is

 surrounded by a buffer zone of 148 sq.km.

👉41 mammals,211 Bird, 49reptiles

 ,47amphibians, 12fishes , 164 Butterflies,

And 400 species of moths are found here.

The lion-tailed macaque is the flagship species

Of the park 🏞️ .

👉The indigenous tribal groups that live

 within park  boundaries including rules

 kurumbas , mudugas and kattunaikkars .

⭐ यह पलक्कड़ जिले  को के मन्नारकड तालुक, केरल के

 मॉलपुर्म जिले के निलंबूर  तालुका और तमिलनाडु के

 निलगिरी जिले की सीमा पर स्थित है।

⭐ इस राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में वनस्पतियों और जीवन की कुछ

 दुर्लभ प्रजातियां है । इस क्षेत्र की खोज 1847 में वनस्पति

 शास्त्री रॉबर्ट वाइट द्वारा की गई थी ।

⭐ यह नीलगिरी बायोस्फीयर रिजर्व की स्मृद जैव विविधता

 में स्थित है ।

⭐ दक्षिणी भारत की पांचवीं सबसे ऊंची चोटी,  मुकुर्थी चोटी 

और अगिंदा छोटी भी इसके आसपास स्थित है। 

⭐ कावेरी नदी की सहायक नदी भवानी नदी और भरतपुझा

 नदी भी इसकी सहायक नदी है।

⭐ नदी , साइलेंट वैली के आसपास से निकलती है कदलुंदी

 नदी का उद्गम भी साइलेंट वैली में है

⭐ इसका मुख्य क्षेत्रफल 89.52 किलोमीटर है जो 148

 किलोमीटर के बफर जोन से गिरा हुआ है।

⭐ यहां 41 स्तनधारी , 211 पक्षी , 49 सरीसृप ,  47

 उभयचर , 12 मछलियां , 164 तितलियां और 400 पतंग

 की प्रजातियां पाई जाती है शेर की पूंछ वाला मकाकू  

भी पार्क की प्रमुख प्रजाति है।

⭐ पार्क की सीमाओं के भीतर रहने वाले स्वदेशी

 जनजातीय समूह में एरुलास, कुरुम्बा ,  मुद्दुगास और 

कत्तुनेकर  शामिल है ।
